Because the mechanical damage caused by bending is inevitable, the design and manufacture of cable have been greatly improved and strengthened compared with the traditional cable in terms of structure design and material selection, so as to prolong the bending life as much as possible; However, in addition to the quality of the cable itself, the layout method and available space of the cable and pipeline in the drag chain are very important, which greatly affects the bending life of the cable. In order to help customers better use the drag chain cable, combined with the customer improvement cases accumulated for many years, our company recommends the following experience and suggestions for you;
A. The selection of cables is very important. It is important to select cables that can meet the requirements of bending life.
B. For the cable structure, single-layer structure is preferred. If more than 20 core cables need to be used, it is recommended to divide them into multiple cables.
C. Pay attention to the minimum allowable bending radius of the cable. When the drag chain size is fixed, try to choose a high-quality cable with small outer diameter; If the drag chain is not selected, try to select the drag chain with the outer diameter of the cable more than 7.5 times the bending radius (14.5 times for some bus cables and Gordon signal transmission cables).
D. In addition to meeting chemical resistance and environmental performance, high-strength materials with wear resistance, low viscosity and tensile strength shall be selected as far as possible.
Torque release of cable
The setting out of coiled cables shall be carried out from the outer layer. Before installation, the cables shall be unfolded or hung to release the internal torque of the cables; Do not twist the cable during wiring installation
